About Giraffe
Giraffes are the worlds tallest mammals, thanks to their towering legs and long necks, and her legs alone are taller 6 feet (1.8 meters).
These long legs allow giraffes to run as fast as 35 mph over short distances and cruise comfortably al 10 mph over longer distances.
The giraffe is up to 19 feet (6 m) tall and weighs up to 2800 pounds (1270 kg). A baby giraffe (called a calf) weighs about 130 pounds at birth and is about 6 feet tall.
Giraffes can go for days without water.
